Ten Commandments Book

Ten Commandments Book

Our new book on The Ten Commandments shows the two uses of The Ten Commandments that are not widely taught together or not taught at all by most denominational doctrines or churches today, it is entitled:

"The Ten Commandments, The "Two-Edged Sword" of God's Unchanging Word."

Side One:
Evangelism
The Ten Commandments show us that we have sinned,
because we have broken the Laws of God. They show us what we need to REPENT from to have salvation. They also show us our need for Jesus Christ (Messiah Yeshua) as our Savior and His shed blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins.

Side Two: How to Live According to God's Word
The Ten Commandments show us how to live as a "Saved" and “Born Again” person,
"walking out our salvation" and living as “a new creature” both Jew and Gentile as “one new man”
in Jesus Christ (Messiah Yeshua) with the help of the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh).

This is part of God’s Torah, His “teaching and instruction”
for our lives that He wanted us to follow.

Below are actual excerpts from the Book:

                                     Preface

This book was written for us to come into the fullness of God’s Word through His Son, Jesus Christ (Messiah Yeshua), being lead by the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) of God to understand the principles that He wants us to live by and prosper by; not by man-made doctrines, but by the instruction of the WHOLE Word of God, both the Old Testament and the New Testament. His Word, His Torah, His “teaching and instruction” for our lives.

A lot of times people have more faith in the words of man than in the Word of God; or in the doctrines of man instead of the Doctrines of God instructed to us by His prophets and by His Word, The Bible.

MATTITYAHU (MATTHEW) 15:3, 7-9

3
He answered, “Indeed, why do you break the command of God by your tradition? 7You hypocrites! Yesha’yahu was right when he prophesied about you.

8          ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far away from me.

9           Their worship of me is useless, because they teach man-made rules as if they were doctrines.’” K Isaiah 29:13

This was part of the reason ancient Israel was destroyed, because they followed the teachings of false prophets and false teachers instead of the Word of God instructed to them by His prophets and by His Word. Ancient Israel is the prime example in the Bible we are supposed to look at to see what to do and what not to do, toward God and toward each other.

When ancient Israel followed God’s Word and kept His Commandments, they prospered and had peace. When they did not keep His Word, not doing their part of the Covenant, they did not prosper and were eventually punished for being disobedient to God; even though God sent prophet after prophet to bring His people back to Him and to His ways. God ALWAYS warns us and gives us time to repent before He judges and punishes us, if we will only listen.

Sometimes people follow their own doctrines instead of seeing what the Word of God actually says on a certain subject. What the true Hebraic/Messianic understanding is, the understanding that Jesus and the Apostles held to regarding a matter.

After hearing man-made doctrines for so many years we just assume that they are right because we have been taught that way, or heard it that way when someone explained it to us from their doctrine, so we assume that it must be right, it must be true.

God’s Word can be misquoted very easily

and that misquote can take root very quickly.

A prime example of this is in our modern time is the saying,

“Money is the root of all evil.”

We have all heard the saying, “Money is the root of all evil.” We all assume that it is in the Bible word for word, just as we have heard it said for so many years, from so many people on television and different people in real life quoting it to us that way.

Let’s try an experiment together, right now, just you and I, and God. Please get your Bible out and look up 1 Timothy 6:10.

Now place your finger and read it out loud as you trace the words, “For the love of money is the root of all evil.”

1 TIMOTHY 6:10  10For the love of money is a root of all the evils; because of this craving, some people have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves to the heart with many pains.

11 Timothy 6:10  10  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Congratulations, you have now actually read it for yourself, now YOU KNOW for a FACT that the correct quote is; “For the love of money is the root of all evil”, right from God’s Word, The Bible; NOT “Money is the root of all evil”, as you have heard man’s misquote for so many years.

Sadly, these types of misquotes and incorrect doctrines of man have come against “The Words that God actually SPOKE”, The Ten Commandments; the instructions that God wanted us to live by and to prosper by.

True prosperity is by keeping God’s Word, by keeping the Covenant, not by following the false doctrines of man. This was true in ancient Israel’s time and it is still true for us today. God’s Word does not change!

D’VARIM (DEUTERONOMY) 29:9   8(9) Therefore, observe the words of this covenant and obey them; so that you can make everything you do prosper.

1Deuteronomy 29:9  9  Keep the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.

                             From The Author

                                         In his own words

I am neither a “Judaizer” nor a “Legalist” despite some people’s opinions, opinions that come from man-made doctrines, not the Word of God when interpreted from the Hebraic/Messianic understanding that Jesus (Yeshua) and the Apostles taught and lived by.

This book is the product of a REAL walk with God since 2003, even though I had professed a relationship with God since 1983 and God had filled me with the Holy Spirit and had given me the gift of tongues, I had walked away and come back several times within that time period. I was the product of “The Modern Gospel Message” that is preached today. I was a “False Convert”, the “thorny ground hearer” that the bible talks about:

MARK 4:18, 19 18Others are those sown among thorns – they hear the message; 19but the worries of the world, the deceitful glamor of wealth and all the other kinds of desires push in and choke the message; so that it produces nothing.

I never truly left the world.

1 YOCHANAN (1 JOHN) 2:16, 17 16because all the things of the world – the desires of the old nature, the desires of the eyes, and the pretensions of life – are not from the Father but from the world. 17And the world is passing away, along with its desires. But whoever does God’s will remains forever.

I would walk away from serving God to go back into the world, especially in 1991 when I became very ill..(I had a kidney stone, chickenpox and a liver virus all at the same time) I fasted and prayed for 3 days, the reason I fasted is because in reality I had not food to eat. God answered me and said, “ In My Name, the Apostles were ship wrecked, diseased, beaten and set upon by wild animals, you’re not even and Apostle, this is life, things happen, get over it and go on.”

I said, “Okay, I will go on, without You” and I walked away, I walked away “for good”, or so I thought, but God had other plans for me. For over 10 years I stayed in the world and away from God, but God NEVER abandoned me. But deep inside I knew that I was not living for God and that if I died, I would go to hell.

I was converted under the “False Doctrine” of “once you give your life to Christ you will not have problems anymore”. So when the trials and temptations, [the one’s that God’s True Word says WILL HAPPEN], finally came, they were too much for me to bear and I walked away.

In 2001, when I was very, very ill, worse than ever before in my life; I had a gallbladder
removal surgery that went very, very bad. I had a bronchial spasm as they were putting me under anesthesia and they had to cut a trach into my throat or I would have died as my air way was compromised. After that, the normal laparoscopic procedure did not work because the neck from my gallbladder to my liver was abnormally long and they could not visualize the duct at the back of my liver so they had to “open me up”, which meant a 12” cut, that took 32 staples to close; that included a drain and a catheter since I had so much trauma going on, finding all of this out while spending a night in the Intensive Care Unit was very interesting.

Later while on the regular floor I found myself in the EXTREME pain of pancreatitus, because during the 3 hour surgery a gallstone moved down the tube to my pancreas and had now become lodged.

At first they thought I would pass it, as they saw that I had passed a few gallstones before. Passing a gallstone is literally like “feeling death”. I had kidney stones before and thought I knew what pain was, but a kidney stone is nothing compared to passing a gallstone.

This meant another “procedure” within a 3 day period. This time when I woke up from having them put me under with Versed, I started having short term memory problems that lasted for around 6 months, a product of so much anesthesia within a short period of time.

In all my years away from God I had gotten into idolatry and been a light practitioner of tai chi and a very heavy practitioner of chi-kung; but even though I was almost a chi-kung master the deep meditation I could do did not block out the extreme pain I now had from pancreatitus.

I got on my knees on my hospital bed and cried out to God; “Okay, I give up, if you take me back, I will never walk away again, and I will be your servant”.

And ever since that day I was “fit for the plow” and never looked back again or fell back again. I spent 23 days in the hospital in total. I lost everything, my place to live, the car I was leasing, everything, and on top of that I was unable to work for quite a while, even then it took me another 2 years until I fulfilled that promise.

Since 2003 I have sought His Face, I am now a “true over comer” in Christ Jesus (Messiah Yeshua) and have started a journey of repentance, prayer, fasting, study, praise, tithing, worship and thanksgiving to God. After attending several denominational churches and non-denominational groups, as well as being a former church member of a few of those denominations and groups in seeking the Lord (Adonai) I have learned IT IS NOT about being a member of a church, denomination or group, IT IS about repenting, being “Born Again” and being filled with the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh).

It is about trying to understand and apply God’s Word into my own life (seeking His face) and being obedient to His Will, implementing His Word into my everyday life, living as a believer in Jesus Christ (Messiah Yeshua), in teaching His Word and preaching His Word when He tells me to and in writing this book.

2 TIMOTHY 2:24-26 24and a slave of the Lord shouldn’t fight. On the contrary, he should be kind to everyone, a good teacher, and not resentful when mistreated. 25Also he should be gentle as he corrects his opponents. For God may perhaps grant them the opportunity to turn from their sins, acquire full knowledge of the truth, 26come to their senses and escape the trap of the Adversary, after having been captured alive by him to do his will.

2 TIMOTHY 3:16, 17 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is valuable for teaching the truth, convicting of sin, correcting faults and training in right living; 17thus anyone who belongs to God may be fully equipped for every good work.

2 TIMOTHY 4:2
2proclaim the Word! Be on hand with it whether the time seems right or not. Convict, censure and exhort with unfailing patience and with teaching.
